In the early hours of Saturday, the judicial police force in Marrakech commenced a significant security operation targeting a residential building located on Abdel Karim Khatabi Street in the Gueliz district. This operation resulted in the arrest of ten individuals suspected of being involved in activities deemed immoral.
The security services acted on a series of complaints from residents who were troubled by suspicious practices occurring within some apartments. The raid involved five residential units and led to the apprehension of five young men and five young women found in the act of engaging in illicit activities, including operating premises for prostitution.
Following directives from the competent public prosecutor's office, the ten detainees were transported to the Marrakech police headquarters for further investigation regarding the allegations against them. They have been placed under provisional detention while legal procedures are completed and they are prepared for judicial proceedings to determine appropriate actions against them.
