Princess Lalla Meryem Welcomes Jerusalem Children at 'Manarat Al Salam' Camp
On August 23, 2026, Princess Lalla Meryem hosted a special gathering for children from Jerusalem at the Royal Guest Palace in Rabat. This event celebrated the 17th session of the summer camp titled "Manarat Al Salam" (Beacon of Peace), which is organized by the Bayt Mal al-Quds al-Sharif Agency under the auspices of King Mohammed VI, who is also the president of the Al-Quds Committee. The interim director of the Bayt Mal al-Quds al-Sharif Agency, Mohammed Salem Sharqawi, attended the event, accompanied by the children and their supervisors.
The children from Jerusalem were delighted to pose for a commemorative photograph with Princess Lalla Meryem, marking a memorable occasion. Following the photo session, the princess presided over a reception hosted in their honor by King Mohammed VI. During the gathering, the children presented two commemorative gifts to Princess Lalla Meryem, expressing their gratitude and appreciation. In turn, Mr. Sharqawi gifted the princess a book that highlights the achievements of the Agency, showcasing its efforts and contributions to the community.
