Candidate List for the 2026 Legislative Elections

On Saturday, the Progress and Socialism Party officially announced its list of candidates for the legislative elections scheduled for September 23, 2026. The announcement was made during the eighth session of the party's Central Committee, revealing a composition that primarily features the electoral faces the party has traditionally relied upon to secure parliamentary seats. However, it is noteworthy that the party has not demonstrated any significant willingness to open its doors to women and youth, as the list includes only six women and eight young individuals aged under 35.

The candidate list highlighted the return of Raho Hailah to the party after previously running under the Authenticity and Modernity Party in the last elections; he has been endorsed to represent the Tiflet-Romani district. Additionally, the list signifies the joining of former Union Socialiste des Forces Populaires leader Abdelhadi Khairat, who has been endorsed to run in Settat.

In the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, the Progress and Socialism Party has put forward Dhaman Mazrihi in the Tangier-Assilah district, Idrees Lazaar in the Mdiq-Fnideq district, Zuhair Rukani in the Tetouan district, Mohamed Budra in the Chefchaouen district, Abdel Rabih Baksh in the Wazzan district, and Lamya Sallali in the Al Hoceima district.

In the Eastern region, the list includes Wafa Al-Taji in the Oujda-Angad district, Mohamed Balkassem in the Nador district, Adnan Oushan in the Driouch district, Fatima Al-Zahra Al-Mahi in the Berkane district, Mohamed Mihit in the Tawrirt district, Mohammed Filali in the Jerfif district, and Al-Hussein Ahles in the Figuig-Bouarfa district.

Moving on to the Fes-Meknes region, Ali Lakassab has been chosen as the party's candidate in Southern Fes, with Mohamed Bakhtawi in the Meknes district, Mohamed Mashou in the Ifrane district, Badr Bensaada in the Sefrou district, Rachid Hamouni in the Boulemane district, as well as Abdallah Al-Idrisi Bouzidi in Taounate-Tissa, Ikram Al-Hanawi in Al-Qariah-Ghafsai, and Ahmed Al-Abadi in the Taza district.

In the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, the party has nominated Rachid Sassi in the Rabat Al-Muhit district, Al-Arabi Al-Hamari in the Skhirat-Témara district, Nour Al-Din Harraq in Kenitra, Fouad Karim in Khmissat-Walmas, and Raho Hailah in Tiflet-Romani.

For the Beni Mellal-Khenifra region, the party has reaffirmed its trust in Maryam Ouhsasa in the Beni Mellal district, Bouabkar Aiken in Azilal, Hamza Nadhiri in the Bzou and Ouaouizaght district, and Alal Al-Basrawi in Khouribga.

In the Casablanca-Settat region, the party has finalized its nominations with Mohamed Benmoussa in the Casablanca-Anfa district, Mohamed Talal in Ain Chock, Mustafa Al-Hissouni in Sidi Bernoussi, Al-Haj Hajji in Ben M'sik, Adil Benbrahim in Mohammedia, Ayman Bayazid in El Jadida, Rachid Boutalab in Nouaceur, Mustafa Al-Ma'nawi in Mediouna, Ahmed Al-Dahi in Benslimane, and Abdelhadi Khairat in Settat.

In the Marrakech-Safi region, the candidate list for the Progress and Socialism Party includes Youssef Himi in the Marrakech-Sidi Yusuf Ben Ali district, Ibrahim Babissi in the Gueliz-Al Nakhil district, Abdel Nabi Chdid in the Menara district, Hamid Qamiza in the Chichaoua district, Othman Al-Marsi in the Essaouira district, Abdel Ilah Batouti in Rahamna, Abdel Razaq Obeid in Safi, and Khalid Al-Mu'azzaz in Qalat Saraghna.

With respect to the Drâa-Tafilalet region, the candidates include Said Aqdad in the Ouarzazate district, Omar Ait Raho in the Midelt district, Mohamed Qasha in Tinghir, and Youssef Yasin in the Zagora district.

Lastly, in the Sous-Massa region, the party has nominated Hassan Oumribit in the Agadir Idawtan district, Mohamed Al-Zakrawi in the Inzegane-Ait Melloul district, Sufyan Izm in the Ait Baha district, Jamal Asaid in the Southern Taroudant district, Al-Hassan Ait Dawood in the Northern Taroudant district, and Khadija Arouhal in the Tiznit district.

In the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, the party has put forward Hussein Atwil in the Guelmim district, Aba Al-Sheikh Al-Nih in the Tan Tan district, and Karim Obugrim in the Sidi Ifni district.
