Unveiling the Future: Casa-Sud Station Development Progress

As work continues on the Casa-Sud station, the future hub of urban mobility in southern Casablanca, recent images from the construction site showcase the significant progress made since the project's inception just over a year ago. This ambitious infrastructure project, initiated by King Mohammed VI on September 24, 2025, is part of a broader railway program aimed at transforming transportation in the Casablanca region. The station is designed to serve as a pivotal junction, integrating various modes of transportation and enhancing connectivity for commuters.

The Casa-Sud station will encompass a sprawling area of 22,000 square meters, dedicated to the station building itself. In addition, the project will feature an extensive parking facility covering 30,000 square meters to accommodate approximately 1,000 vehicles, along with 38,000 square meters of external amenities. The station is set to be equipped with six platforms and ten railway tracks, facilitating the operation of diverse train services including Al Boraq high-speed trains, regional trains, and local commuter services.

Intermodal Connectivity: A Vision for Seamless Travel

One of the standout features of the Casa-Sud project is its focus on intermodal connectivity. By linking the station to key transport networks, including local roads, trams, buses, and taxis, the design aims to streamline transitions for passengers moving between different modes of transportation. This feature will not only simplify travel for local commuters but will also enhance the overall efficiency of urban mobility within the metropolitan area.

The investment for the Casa-Sud project is estimated at 1.3 billion dirhams, with 950 million dirhams allocated specifically for construction activities. This initiative is part of a larger vision for the Grand Casablanca railway network, which includes the development of three state-of-the-art stations: Casa-Sud, Mohammed V Airport Station, and Hassan II Grand Stadium Station, all scheduled for completion within 24 months.
