Qatar Airways Enhances Connectivity Across Africa

Qatar Airways has announced a significant expansion of its flight network across Africa, set to commence on June 16, 2026. This development includes the resumption of flights and an increase in the frequency of services to several key destinations, such as Seychelles, Kigali, Marrakech, Alexandria, Cairo, Cape Town, Dar es Salaam, Lusaka-Harare, and Maputo-Durban. This strategic move aims to enhance travel options for passengers and strengthen the airline's presence within the African continent.

In addition to these newly added routes, Qatar Airways will also initiate three weekly flights to Port Sudan starting July 2, 2026. This initiative is designed to bolster air connectivity with East Africa and provide more travel choices for those flying to and from Sudan. The airline's commitment to expanding its operations in Africa reflects its strategy to increase global destination offerings from its hub at Hamad International Airport, catering to the growing demand for travel via Doha, which serves as a pivotal link between East and West.
