The Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy is strategically situated in close proximity to multiple healthcare facilities, including the Children's Hospital, Specialty Hospital, Souissi Maternity, and the administrative buildings of the Ibn Sina University Hospital. The high concentration of healthcare and educational infrastructures warrants the development of this underground passage. It is being constructed concurrently with the new Ibn Sina University Hospital, which marks a significant advancement in hospital infrastructure in Morocco.
This new hospital, inaugurated in May 2022, replaces the previous facility established in 1954 and is expected to meet international healthcare standards with over 1,000 hospital beds and state-of-the-art medical equipment. The project, encompassing 6.5 hectares, represents an investment of over 6 billion dirhams and features a remarkable 140-meter bioclimatic tower.
