Raja Club Athletic Cancels Preparatory Camp and Friendly Match Amid Injury Concerns

Raja Club Athletic's Decision to Cancel Training Camp

The coaching staff of Raja Club Athletic, led by South African coach Fadlu Davids, has decided to forgo a preparatory camp in Marrakech, along with a scheduled friendly match against Hassania Agadir set to take place this weekend. This decision comes in light of a desire to prevent player fatigue or injuries just days before the resumption of the professional league.

The green team has officially canceled its training camp and the friendly match that was planned against their Souss counterparts this Saturday at 6 PM, which was to be held at the supplementary stadium of the Grand Stadium of Marrakech. The management of Raja issued an apology to their counterparts at Hassania Agadir for the sudden change in plans.

Earlier, Raja had also canceled a similar friendly match against Hassania Agadir due to a disagreement regarding the venue for the encounter, as Raja's management insisted on playing at their home ground in Wadi as opposed to traveling to Marrakech. This led to the decision to replace the match with a friendly against Yaakoub Al-Mansour instead.

Upcoming Matches and Current Standings

Raja is gearing up for their upcoming clash against Fath Rabat in Round 16 of the professional league, scheduled for the end of next week. The Professional League Association has set April 25 as the date for the league's return to action. As it stands, Raja Club Athletic is currently in second place in the professional league standings, tied with Wydad Casablanca and the Royal Army, holding 30 points, just one point behind Maghreb Fes.
