Risma Finalizes Sale of Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche

Risma Completes Hotel Sale in Casablanca

On April 27, 2026, Risma, a publicly traded company on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, announced the completion of a definitive sales agreement with Albatros for the transfer of the Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche hotel. This transaction, valued at 450 million Moroccan Dirhams (MDH), marks a significant step in Risma's ongoing strategy to optimize its hotel portfolio.

Albatros, a member of the Pickalbatros group, is well-regarded in the tourism and leisure sector, with several hotels operating in both Egypt and Morocco. The sale of the Sofitel hotel is part of Risma's active management approach towards its hotel assets. Following this sale, Risma will maintain a strong presence in Casablanca's historic center through its Novotel Casablanca City Center, which offers 281 rooms, and the Ibis Casablanca City Center, featuring 266 rooms. Furthermore, Risma is considering investing in the current Novotel City Center to reposition it into a more upscale market segment.

In addition to these developments, the company is actively searching for a prime piece of land to facilitate the construction of a luxury hotel, further enhancing its market offerings. This strategic move is anticipated to yield a positive non-current result of approximately 160 MDH, net of corporate tax, in Risma's consolidated accounts for the 2026 fiscal year. The removal of current revenue and expenses associated with the Sofitel hotel is also expected to positively impact the financial results for 2026 and subsequent years.
