Royal Air Maroc's Ambitious Summer Program

In a significant move to enhance its service offerings, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is set to increase its capacity by an impressive 23% for the summer season of 2026. This expansion translates to nearly 8.2 million available seats, aimed primarily at accommodating the travel needs of Moroccans living abroad and supporting the growing influx of tourist traffic. The airline’s summer schedule will cover 86 international destinations, spanning Europe, Africa, the Americas, Asia, and the Middle East. Notably, RAM will operate 44 European destinations, 29 in Africa, seven across the Americas—including the United States, Canada, and Brazil—and six in Asia and the Middle East.

Regional Growth and Modern Fleet

The increase in available seats is evident across all markets, with over 3 million seats allocated to Europe, marking a 22% rise to meet the strong demand from Moroccan expatriates and facilitate tourism flows. The African sector is seeing the most substantial growth, with over 1.8 million seats available, reflecting a 36% increase, which bolsters Casablanca's role as a pivotal hub for connections to the continent. The Asian and Middle Eastern networks will provide more than 524,000 seats, a 16% upsurge fueled by enhanced services to countries like China, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. In the Americas, the total reaches 723,000 seats, an increase of 7%, while the point-to-point network will see over 890,000 seats available, thanks in part to the opening of its new base in Tétouan.

Furthermore, RAM is also enhancing its domestic network, planning nearly 1.2 million seats on internal flights, which represents an 18% growth designed to improve connectivity across various regions of Morocco. The airline will maintain its Casablanca hub's structure, which includes nighttime flights to Europe and daytime services to Africa, a strategy implemented in the summer of 2025 aimed at optimizing connections and reducing passenger transit times.

To support this expansive program, Royal Air Maroc is continuing to modernize its fleet, which now consists of 67 aircraft, with several new deliveries expected throughout summer 2026. The airline has affirmed that it will manage its entire summer schedule using its own fleet, without the need to charter additional aircraft. Hamid Addou, CEO of Royal Air Maroc, emphasized that this exceptional deployment for the summer season signifies a major milestone in the airline's development trajectory. With a record offering and a modernized fleet, RAM is asserting its position as a strategic hub for Morocco and serving its global diaspora.

Tickets for these flights are already available through various sales channels, including Royal Air Maroc's website, call centers, commercial agencies, and travel agency networks.
