Royal Air Maroc Introduces New Travel Restrictions for U.S. Flights

New Entry Restrictions for Passengers Traveling to the U.S.

On June 1, 2026, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced significant travel restrictions for passengers intending to fly to the United States. This decision comes in response to new health measures implemented by U.S. authorities aimed at curbing the spread of Ebola. Specifically, travelers who have been in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, or South Sudan within the 21 days leading up to their arrival in the U.S. will be barred from boarding RAM flights to the country. However, there are provisions for exceptions in line with U.S. government guidelines. Passengers granted permission to travel may be required to enter through designated airports, where they will undergo enhanced health screenings upon arrival.

Advice for Affected Passengers

Royal Air Maroc is urging all affected passengers to verify their eligibility to travel prior to their departure. The airline has also expressed its commitment to ensuring that travelers remain informed about their flight statuses. For those whose flights have been canceled due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East, RAM advises them not to head to the airport and instead to contact their original point of sale or the airline's call center for further assistance. Additionally, the airline recommends that all travelers check their flight status and update their contact details through the 'Manage My Booking' section available on the RAM website. These measures are intended to facilitate a smoother travel experience amid changing global health circumstances.
