RTX Expands Manufacturing Operations with New Facility in Morocco

New Manufacturing Facility in Morocco

RTX's Pratt & Whitney division has recently inaugurated a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Casablanca, Morocco, enhancing the defense contractor's operational presence in the region. This strategic move reflects RTX's commitment to strengthening its supply chain while meeting the increasing demand for aircraft engine components. The new site is expected to produce essential parts for Pratt & Whitney Canada's renowned PT6 aircraft engines, among others.

Strategic Commitment to Resilient Supply Chains

Maria Della Posta, the president of Pratt & Whitney Canada, emphasized the significance of this new facility, stating, "This site is a strategic extension of our global production network and demonstrates our commitment to building resilient supply chains worldwide that will enable us to increase production for our customers." The establishment of this facility not only marks a significant investment in local manufacturing but also illustrates RTX's ongoing dedication to fostering job creation in Morocco. With this latest addition, RTX now employs approximately 250 workers across its operations in Morocco, including its Collins Aerospace unit, which has been providing cockpit solutions and flight controls in the region since 2012. This expansion is a clear indication of RTX's ambitious growth plans and its focus on enhancing its manufacturing capabilities to better serve its clientele globally.
