Ryanair Introduces New Flights to Agadir

Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg, in collaboration with Ryanair, is excited to announce the expansion of its flight network to Morocco. Starting with the upcoming winter schedule, the Irish low-cost airline will commence flights to the vibrant coastal city of Agadir. Following the introduction of flights to Rabat, Agadir will become Ryanair's second destination in Morocco, providing travelers from the region with enticing opportunities for cultural, nature, and leisure experiences, especially during the winter months.

Agadir: A Winter Getaway

Agadir boasts a mild climate and enjoys over 300 days of sunshine each year, making it a favored destination from November to March. Rather than just a typical beach vacation, visitors can indulge in long scenic walks along the picturesque Atlantic coast, engage in rounds of golf under the vibrant blue skies, or explore the diverse and captivating landscapes of southern Morocco. Additionally, Agadir serves as an excellent launching point for excursions throughout the country. The bustling city of Marrakesh, known for its colorful souks and grand palaces, is particularly popular and can be reached in approximately three hours by car. Visitors to Marrakesh can immerse themselves in the lively atmosphere of the legendary Djemaa el Fna square.

Marcel Pouchain Meyer, the Country Manager and Head of Communications for the DACH region at Ryanair, expressed his enthusiasm: "We are thrilled to present Agadir as a new and appealing winter destination from Nuremberg, providing our customers with even more options at Ryanair's consistently low fares. However, the persistently high access costs in Germany, particularly the excessive air transport tax, continue to pose challenges to our connectivity and limit our potential for investment and growth."

Dr. Michael Hupe, the Managing Director of Nuremberg Airport, added: "With the addition of Agadir, Ryanair is enhancing its winter destination portfolio from Nuremberg while further strengthening its connections to Morocco. This expansion solidifies Ryanair’s status as the largest airline operating at Nuremberg Airport and offers holidaymakers more opportunities to escape the cold Franconian winter for a few days or weeks." Flights to Agadir will be available every Monday and Saturday and can be easily booked through Ryanair’s booking platforms.
