The flight, designated RK514, took off from Edinburgh airport at 7:22 AM and altered its course approximately one hour later. The Boeing 737-8AS landed safely at Birmingham Airport at 8:15 AM, where a medical team was on standby to assist the passenger in need of urgent care.
