World Premiere and Upcoming Screening
Following its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival earlier this year, the film "Safe Exit" is set to fly to China, where it will participate in the Contemporary World Cinema section of the Shanghai International Film Festival, one of the largest and most prestigious festivals in Asia, classified as A-List by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Associations). Written and directed by Mohamed Hamad, "Safe Exit" is produced by Kholoud Saad and Mohamed Hamad, with co-producer contributions from Dina Farouk, the renowned Tunisian producer Dora Bouzid, and Ibrahim Elbatout. The film features fresh talent including Marwan Walid, Noh Ahmed, and Hazem Essam, alongside the esteemed actress Magda Mounir.
Acknowledgments and Future Releases
Prior to its screening in Berlin, "Safe Exit" was awarded the official prize for post-production workshops at the Marrakech International Film Festival. This film is a collaborative production involving Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Qatar, and Germany, marking Mohamed Hamad's second feature film after his debut, "Green Dry". "Green Dry" had its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival and subsequently won the Best Director award at the Dubai International Film Festival. The commercial release of "Safe Exit" is highly anticipated in Egypt and across the Arab world, promising to evoke deep reflection and conversation about the issues it portrays.
