Exceptional Performance in National Baccalaureate Examination
The Regional Academy for Education and Training of the Fes-Meknes region has announced that the regular session of the national unified examination for obtaining the Baccalaureate diploma, conducted in June 2026, was marked by comprehensive mobilization and responsible engagement from all stakeholders. This led to positive results that reflect the extensive efforts made by various educational actors.
Among the standout performers was Sarah Abu Zeid, a student from the Ben Jaafar Secondary School in Fes, who pursued her studies in the French option of physical sciences. She achieved the highest score in the region, earning an impressive 19.34 out of 20, which showcases her exceptional academic accomplishment.
Results Overview and Statistics
According to official data, a total of 70,150 candidates sat for the examinations, with 34,657 students successfully passing. Of these, 55,345 were full-time students, with 32,053 achieving success, including 5,531 from private educational institutions. Notably, females represented 62.94% of all successful candidates.
Statistical insights revealed that among the candidates in scientific and technical streams, 22,421 students passed, achieving a success rate of 56.36%. In contrast, those in literary and traditional streams saw a success rate of 68.30%, with 9,572 students passing.
For candidates with disabilities, 244 participated in the examinations, with 178 achieving success, resulting in a commendable success rate of 72.95%.
In terms of excellence indicators, a total of 16,012 students received distinctions, accounting for 49.96% of all successful candidates. This group included 2,213 who achieved the highest honors, 4,497 with honors, and 9,378 with satisfactory results.
As for private candidates, 8,762 participated, with 2,604 passing, including 169 inmates from correctional facilities, yielding a success rate of 29.72%.
Regarding the retake session, the academy has reported that 25,095 candidates will sit for these examinations, including 19,893 full-time students and 5,520 private candidates, all hoping to improve their results and obtain their Baccalaureate diploma.
