In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the National Police Judicial Brigade successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle 4,631 kilograms of hashish near El Jadida. This operation, which took place late on Tuesday evening, was made possible through precise intelligence provided by the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance. The authorities arrested a suspect believed to be linked to a criminal network involved in the international drug trade.
The apprehension occurred when the suspect attempted to flee in a rural area surrounding El Jadida while participating in the international drug smuggling operation. He was found using a utility vehicle loaded with 118 bundles of hashish weighing a total of 4,631 kilograms.
Coordinated Law Enforcement Efforts
This significant operation was executed in coordination with the Royal Gendarmerie, employing substantial human and logistical resources, including trained canine units and drone surveillance for search and monitoring purposes.
