Impending Heatwave Across Various Regions in Morocco

According to an official orange alert issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology, Morocco is bracing for a severe heatwave that could push temperatures to an alarming 42 degrees Celsius in several cities, including Marrakech, Fes, and Meknes. Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, the heatwave is anticipated to persist until the following Friday, with temperatures expected to range between 37 and 42 degrees Celsius across numerous provinces, including Wazan, Meknes, Fes, Moulay Yakoub, Taza, Sidi Qasim, Khemisset, Sidi Slimane, Khouribga, Fqih Ben Salah, Khenifra, Settat, Youssoufia, Qalaat Saraghna, Marrakech, Al Rhamna, Beni Mellal, Chichaoua, and Taroudant.

The meteorological bulletin also forecasts hot weather for Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures likely to hover between 37 and 42 degrees in the regions of Agadir Ida Ou Tanane, Kenitra, Larache, Ben Slimane, Nouaceur, Berrechid, Essaouira, Safi, Sidi Bennour, Chichaoua, Guelmim, Inzikan, Ait Melloul, and Tiznit. While other regions may experience slightly lower temperatures, they will still remain elevated, falling within the range of 34 to 38 degrees Celsius in the provinces of Casablanca, Mediouna, Mohammedia, Rabat, Salé, Temara - Skhirat, El Jadida, and Sidi Ifni.
