Vandalism Strikes Marrakech Neighborhood
A shocking incident occurred in Marrakech when a young man with a criminal record vandalized five vehicles and a bakery in the neighborhood of Mahamid. The vandalism took place on a street branching off from the bustling Palm Avenue leading to Douar Hahha Al-Masra, on a Sunday evening. Witnesses reported that the perpetrator, who appeared to be in an unstable state, engaged in an argument with a relative before unleashing a destructive spree, smashing the windows of the parked vehicles, including one that belonged to a Moroccan expatriate living in Italy.
Eyewitness accounts detailed how the assailant threw stones at the cars, resulting in extensive damage. The destruction included shattered front and rear windshields and broken windows, alongside damage to the metal frames and external and internal accessories of the vehicles. The bakery's glass front was also shattered, adding to the chaos of the night.
The local residents expressed their outrage over the incident, calling upon the security forces in the Skijour district and the surrounding area to intensify patrols. They emphasized that this was not the first time such incidents of vandalism had occurred in the same area, voicing their concerns about the safety and wellbeing of their community.
