A joint operation conducted by the Anti-Gang Unit in Sale and the General Directorate for National Territorial Surveillance led to the seizure of a substantial quantity of narcotic pills from a utility vehicle in the Bouknadel area on the morning of Tuesday, March 17, 2026. According to a reliable source, the occupants of the vehicle attempted to flee the scene, but the vigilance of the security personnel prevented their escape. The driver, identified as a police officer, was apprehended along with three accomplices, one of whom is a municipal employee and the other two have extensive criminal records. In total, authorities confiscated 1,320 narcotic pills intended for distribution.
A judicial investigation has been initiated under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor's office to ascertain the criminal acts attributed to the four detainees and to evaluate the extent of their involvement in these illicit activities.
