The office's periodic statistics concerning commercial air transport for April 2026 indicate that the airport welcomed a total of 97,881 travelers during the first four months of the year, up from 87,420 in the same timeframe the previous year. In April alone, the number of passengers passing through Essaouira-Mogador Airport reached 32,065, marking a substantial rise of 25.29% compared to 25,593 travelers during April 2025.
The data on the distribution of passenger air traffic at this airport infrastructure until the end of April highlights the dominance of international flights, which accounted for 97,641 travelers, showing an increase of 14.41%. Conversely, domestic flights saw a significant decline, with only 240,000 passengers, representing a decrease of 88.43%. Regarding aircraft movements, the airport recorded a rise of 16.31%, with a total of 756 air movements by the end of April 2026, compared to 650 flights in the same period last year. On a national level, commercial air traffic across the Kingdom's airports reached 12,336,962 passengers by the end of April 2026, reflecting an increase of 9.7% compared to the same period last year.
