The National Office of Railways (ONCF) has announced remarkable advancements at a rapid pace in the construction of the high-speed train line connecting Kenitra and Marrakech. In a recent post on LinkedIn, the office highlighted that this surge in infrastructure development exemplifies the ambitious goals set forth in the massive railway program included within the "ONCF Cap 2030" plan, aimed at modernizing transportation across the country.
Continuous field efforts have resulted in significant engineering achievements on the ground, with technical teams successfully executing approximately twenty million cubic meters of excavation and embankment work. Meanwhile, intensive construction activities are underway to establish fifteen major bridges and engineering structures, along with the initiation of three covered trenches extending over a total length of one and a half kilometers. These trenches are strategically located at key points, including Casablanca Airport, the Zenata area, and the Ain Atiq sector.
In parallel, work has officially commenced on the construction of ninety-two additional facilities, encompassing advanced railway and road bridges. This illustrates the remarkable acceleration and robust dynamics characterizing this royal project. These rapid advancements reaffirm the unwavering commitment of the National Office of Railways to continue updating and enhancing the national network, as the Kenitra-Marrakech line is a critical strategic project for bolstering transportation systems and developing the logistical infrastructure within the Kingdom.
