Significant Rainfall Across Morocco: Ben Guerir Leads the Way

Rainfall Measurements Across Morocco

The General Directorate of Meteorology has recently disclosed the rainfall measurements recorded in various regions of Morocco between midday on Friday and midday on Saturday. The data reveals that the city of Ben Guerir topped the list of areas benefiting from the most rainfall during this period.

Ben Guerir recorded the highest rainfall with a total of 34 mm, surpassing Marrakech, which saw 25 mm. Following closely was Oujda with 21 mm, indicating a significant variation in rainfall distribution among different cities and regions over the past 24 hours. Other areas that reported measurable rainfall included Ifrane with 18 mm, Taza Airport with 17 mm, while Khouribga experienced 14 mm. Beni Mellal received 10 mm, and both Bouarfa and Midelt recorded 9 mm each. In contrast, Taroudant saw just 4 mm of rainfall.

In lower measurements, Nador, Taourirt, and Safi each recorded 3 mm, while Meknes, Laayoune, and Al Hoceima registered 2 mm. The lowest amounts were observed in Sidi Ifni, Tiznit, Settat, and Guelmim, where the rainfall did not exceed 1 mm. These figures underscore the ongoing disparity in precipitation levels across the nation, as relevant authorities closely monitor the weather conditions and their impacts on water resources and agricultural activities.
