Significant Drug Bust in Spain
In a recent operation, Spanish authorities intercepted over 2000 kilograms of cannabis originating from Morocco aboard a fishing vessel off the coast of Isla Cristina, located in the southwest of Spain. The earlier incident, which occurred in 2024, involved the seizure of approximately 800 kilograms of cannabis found in a vehicle near where the suspect was located. However, the court ruled that mere proximity to the scene was inadequate to establish participation in the smuggling operation, allowing the individual to be released from custody. Now, he finds himself confronting new allegations concerning a significantly larger shipment.
