SRM Souss-Massa Achieves Remarkable Financial Performance

The Regional Multi-Service Company of Souss-Massa (SRM-SM) recently held its board meeting in Agadir, where it showcased its impressive performance metrics for the fiscal year. The company reported a staggering revenue of approximately 4.17 billion dirhams, demonstrating its strong position in the regional utilities sector. This financial achievement is complemented by a gross operating surplus of 443 million dirhams, underscoring the effectiveness of its operational strategies.

During the meeting, which was chaired by Said Amzazi, the wali of the region and governor of the Agadir Ida-Outanane prefecture, the focus was on reviewing the company’s performance in water, electricity, and sanitation services. Amzazi emphasized the importance of enhancing service quality and management efficiency, while also accelerating the pace of infrastructure projects crucial for water and energy security. This is particularly vital in light of the ongoing developmental dynamics in the region.

Furthermore, SRM-SM boasts an impressive collection rate of 97.2% from residential customers, having effectively addressed over 51,000 complaints with a resolution rate that nears 99.8%. In terms of potable water supply, the company distributed around 94.7 million cubic meters, maintaining an average pumping rate exceeding 3,000 liters per second. On the electricity front, it operates 23 plants, achieving a distribution efficiency rate of 92.65%, reflecting an upward trend compared to the previous year.

In addition to these services, SRM-SM is actively involved in the treatment and reuse of wastewater, managing 19 treatment facilities and 71 pumping stations across a network exceeding 4,032 kilometers. The volume of reused water reached approximately 7 million cubic meters in 2025, significantly contributing to environmental projects and promoting sustainable management of water resources.
