The communiqué explicitly stated, "While welcoming Morocco’s efforts to achieve a negotiated political solution to this regional dispute through the autonomy plan submitted by Morocco in 2007, H.E. Prak Sokhonn reiterated Cambodia’s full support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco." Furthermore, Cambodia commended Morocco for its serious, realistic, and credible efforts aimed at resolving the regional dispute and expressed its full backing for the initiatives led by the UN Secretary-General and his Personal Envoy for the Sahara, which align with the parameters set forth in the relevant Security Council resolutions.
