The General Directorate of Meteorology has forecasted strong gusts of wind accompanied by dust storms in various regions of Morocco on the upcoming Monday. According to an orange-level alert issued on Sunday, winds are expected to reach speeds between 80 and 100 kilometers per hour, affecting the provinces of Azilal, Chichaoua, Al Haouz, Marrakech, Essaouira, Inzikan-Ait Melloul, Chtouka Ait Baha, Tiznit, Taroudant, Agadir Ida Ou Tanane, Sidi Ifni, and Guelmim.
The adverse weather conditions are anticipated to commence at 1:00 AM on Monday, April 6, and will persist until 11:00 PM the same day. Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions to protect themselves and their properties from the impending weather disruptions.
As the country braces for these challenging conditions, many farmers express concerns about potential crop damage due to the combination of strong winds and dust. In light of this, communities are encouraged to remain vigilant and prepared for the impact of the storm.
