Marhaba 2026 Concludes Successfully

On September 16, 2026, the 'Marhaba 2026' operation, dedicated to welcoming Moroccans living abroad, came to a close at midnight on Tuesday. This initiative, organized by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, took place across various reception centers set up throughout Morocco and abroad.

This year's Marhaba operation was distinguished by its effective implementation under the direct presidency of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the supervision of the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity. The program was enhanced from previous iterations, utilizing a network that included 26 reception areas both within the country and internationally, ensuring close proximity support for the Moroccan expatriate community.

Throughout the duration of the operation, which ran from June 10 to September 15, various social assistance and medical care services were made available at all sites. These services aimed to support Moroccan expatriates during both their arrival back in the homeland and their return to their countries of residence.

Smooth Departure Experience for Moroccan Travelers

The departure phase for Moroccans returning to their countries was carried out under excellent conditions, characterized by a remarkably smooth transit experience, especially during peak travel times starting in mid-August. At the Tangier Med Port, which was the busiest crossing point for travelers, the Moroccan News Agency observed a steady flow of Moroccan expatriates on the last day of the Marhaba 2026 operation.

This success can be attributed to the effective mobilization of all stakeholders involved in ensuring the seamless operation of this initiative, from the arrival at the port to boarding the ferries. In interviews, many departing travelers expressed their satisfaction with their vacation in Morocco and the level of hospitality and support they experienced during the Marhaba operation.

One traveler remarked, 'We had a wonderful stay in Morocco, surrounded by our families and loved ones,' adding, 'We leave with great memories and look forward to our next visit to the country.' Another traveler noted that her time in Morocco was 'under excellent conditions,' highlighting that the boarding process onto the ferries was also very smooth, thanks to clear instructions and assistance that allowed them to board the ship with complete peace of mind.
