Successful Conclusion of the UAE Golf Teams Training Camp in Morocco
On August 23, 2026, the UAE golf teams, comprising both boys and girls, concluded their training program held in Rabat, Morocco, which took place from August 3 to 22. This initiative involved 19 players and aimed to enhance the readiness of the national teams, preparing a new generation capable of competing and achieving commendable results in local, regional, and international tournaments.
The training camp was a continuation of the strategic partnership between the UAE Golf Association and the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation, which provided a professional training environment and advanced facilities. This collaboration allowed for a comprehensive training program to be executed under the supervision of the technical and administrative teams of the national squads.
Throughout the camp, participants engaged in a rigorous schedule filled with specialized technical training, physical preparation, and performance analysis sessions. This structured approach enabled the coaching staff to accurately assess the players' strengths and identify areas requiring further development ahead of the upcoming season.
A notable highlight of the camp was a visit from Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the honorary president of the UAE Golf Association. He took the opportunity to check on the players and the coaching staff, ensuring that the training program was proceeding smoothly and that the atmosphere at the camp was conducive to effective preparation.
Sheikh Fahim praised the significant efforts made by those involved in the camp, particularly Lieutenant Pilot (M) Abdullah Al Hashemi, the association president, and his team, for their dedication to providing the best possible conditions for the national teams. He expressed hopes that the UAE teams would continue to excel and achieve further successes that reflect the growth of golf in the country.
The conclusion of the Morocco camp comes at a critical time as the national teams gear up for the new season, beginning with their participation in the Asia-Pacific Golf Team Championship, known as the Nomura Cup, taking place in Beijing, China, from August 29 to September 5.
Lieutenant Pilot (M) Abdullah Al Hashemi emphasized the importance of the Morocco camp as a successful milestone in the training program for the national teams. He highlighted the comprehensive nature of the program, which included not only technical training but also physical, mental, and performance analysis components, alongside providing ample competitive practice opportunities for the players to gain experience in real competitive settings.
He also commended the successful execution of the camp and expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation and the management of Dar Es Salam Golf Club, whose support was instrumental in ensuring the success of the training program.
