A surprise inspection conducted at the fish market in the Al-Mahamid area of Marrakech on Saturday afternoon resulted in the seizure of more than 500 kilograms of fish that did not meet health standards. This operation was spearheaded by local authorities from the Bouakkaz administrative division in coordination with the National Office for Food Safety (ONSSA).

The field examination revealed numerous violations related to the presentation and trading practices of fish products, prompting the authorities to confiscate quantities deemed questionable regarding their safety. In adherence to legal protocols, the specialized committee began the process of disposing of the seized fish, reinforcing the commitment to strict monitoring of food products and safeguarding consumer health.
