Designer Leila Roukni, who leads the creative vision at TALEL, has always embraced her dual French-Moroccan heritage, which informs her artistic approach. Rejecting traditional labels that might confine her creativity, Roukni emphasizes the importance of artistic expression over mere functionality. In a bid to celebrate and preserve Moroccan craftsmanship, Roukni has partnered with Studio Anouar, a collaboration that reflects their shared cultural roots and dedication to local production. The rugs used in the chaise lounge were meticulously sourced from Marrakech, a process that involved an extensive search for patterns that resonated with Roukni's vision. "Choosing Moroccan carpets was a natural choice for me, as they embody my identity, and by upcycling them, we ensure that each piece is truly unique," she elaborates.
