Talisman Metals Initiates Extensive Drilling at Tirzzit Copper Project
Talisman Metals PLC, a UK-listed exploration company, is set to embark on an ambitious drilling program at its Tirzzit copper project located in Morocco. The company aims to commence the drilling activities in the first week of September, with plans to drill approximately 3,000 meters in a bid to explore the mineralized zones that have shown promise through recent exploration efforts. The drilling campaign will be executed by Geosond Maroc SARL and is expected to take around six weeks to complete. In February 2026, Talisman announced the acquisition of the Tirzzit project from a wholly owned subsidiary of Aya Silver & Gold Inc., which retains a 4.7% stake in Talisman. The formal transfer of the Tirzzit licenses to Talisman is currently underway, demonstrating the collaborative efforts to advance this promising mining venture.
