Temporary Disruption of Train Services in Marrakech Due to Infrastructure Upgrades

Temporary Suspension of Train Services at Marrakech’s Jeliz Station

In a significant development for the transportation infrastructure in Morocco, the train station at Jeliz in Marrakech is set to experience a temporary halt in operations from April 21 to April 24. This interruption is part of ongoing works related to the high-speed train project, aimed at enhancing the railway infrastructure to facilitate the expansion of the national high-speed train network.

During this suspension, all passenger services will be diverted to the nearby Sidi Ibrahim Oasis station. This measure has been taken to ensure the continuity of transportation services, and passengers are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly in light of this temporary change. This initiative reflects the authorities’ commitment to modernizing the rail transport sector, improving service quality, and strengthening intercity connectivity through faster and more efficient transportation options.
