Important Updates on Train Services
The National Office of Railways (ONCF) has announced a temporary alteration in passenger train services along the Marrakech to Sidi Ibrahim route. This change is necessitated by ongoing construction work aimed at connecting the new high-speed railway line from Kenitra to Marrakech with existing infrastructure. This strategic development is poised to enhance the capacity and infrastructure of Marrakech station, allowing it to accommodate both high-speed trains and local commuter services.
According to a recent post on ONCF's official Facebook page, the alterations to train schedules will take effect from Tuesday, April 21, at 9:00 PM and will continue until Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 11:00 PM. During this period, the departure and arrival of the Atlas trains will be temporarily redirected to Sidi Ibrahim station instead of Marrakech station due to the construction activities.
Ensuring Continuous Passenger Service
In order to maintain uninterrupted service for passengers traveling to and from Marrakech station, ONCF has implemented a specialized coordination system between trains and buses to ensure convenient scheduling. Additionally, dedicated teams will be fully mobilized to assist and guide travelers between Marrakech and Sidi Ibrahim stations throughout this transition period. ONCF expressed gratitude to its customers for their understanding and encouraged them to seek prior information for better trip planning. Passengers can access information through various channels, including the ONCF website, the ONCF VOYAGES app, the customer service center at 2255 (local call charge), travel agents, display screens at stations, and the travel companion service M’ONCF at 0667652255. They can also connect through the official WhatsApp channel for real-time updates.
