On Monday, the Balakid area, located on the outskirts of Marrakech, experienced a tense situation when a man suffering from mental health issues managed to enter a classified hotel, causing panic among guests. The individual succeeded in bypassing security measures by scaling the hotel’s wall, leading to a disturbing scene as he began to shout and exhibit erratic behavior. This unexpected intrusion induced significant confusion and distress among the tourists, with several guests reportedly experiencing panic attacks due to the alarming nature of the incident.
In response to this unsettling situation, the hotel management promptly notified security authorities to intervene urgently. Upon receiving the report, the local gendarmerie quickly arrived at the scene. They successfully contained the individual and brought the situation under control before escorting him to the gendarmerie headquarters in Balakid for further necessary actions.
