As FIFA has yet to announce which of the co-hosting nations—Spain, Portugal, or Morocco—will be granted the prestigious honor of hosting the final, Akhannouch urged caution. He emphasized that the Moroccan federation should refrain from making bold declarations before discussions with their partners, Spain and Portugal, have been concluded. In response to Lekjaa's assertions, Rafael Louzan, the head of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), dismissed the notion of Morocco hosting the final as mere election rhetoric.
