The opening day was marked by an exciting prologue featuring motorcycles and quads, alongside preparatory trials for cars and trucks. Following this, participants will embark on their first timed stage towards Zagora, spanning a distance of 268 kilometers. This kickoff will be followed by four additional loop stages around Zagora, culminating on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
Star Competitors and Competitive Spirit
The rally is not only a test of speed but also a showcase of skill, drawing renowned figures in the rally-raid community, including the likes of Sébastien Loeb and Nasser Al-Attiyah. Currently leading the world championship standings, French driver Loeb holds a mere three-point advantage over Qatari rival Al-Attiyah. As the defending champion in Morocco, Loeb aims to maintain his lead, while Al-Attiyah is keen on capitalizing on any navigational or mechanical nuances that may play a crucial role in the outcome of the race.
