Significant Drug Operation Leads to Arrests
On the morning of Wednesday, March 25, the judicial police of the Marrakech Security Directorate launched a major security operation that resulted in the arrest of three individuals, one of whom was wanted on a national level. These arrests were made in connection with suspicions of drug possession and trafficking, according to available information.
The operation took place in the rural area of Ain Jadid, located in the outskirts of Marrakech, where suspects were apprehended in the act. During the subsequent search efforts, authorities seized a staggering 3,300 medical narcotic pills of the type known as Rivotril, alongside a quantity of cocaine weighing 160 grams.
Additionally, the operation led to the confiscation of 9.6 kilograms of hashish, as well as a white weapon and an electronic scale. Authorities also seized a vehicle and a motorcycle that are suspected to have been used in these illicit activities.
The detained individuals are currently under police custody as part of an ongoing judicial investigation overseen by the competent public prosecutor's office. The investigation aims to clarify the circumstances surrounding the case and identify any related extensions.
