Traffic Changes Announced for LGV Kénitra-Marrakech Due to Ongoing Works
On August 31, 2026, the Moroccan National Railways Office (ONCF) issued a statement outlining significant adjustments to train services along the LGV Kénitra-Marrakech route as a result of ongoing construction efforts. These changes are designed to ensure the safety of passengers while maintaining service continuity during this crucial period of infrastructure enhancement. The ONCF emphasizes that these adaptations will be implemented in two phases, beginning with specific adjustments scheduled for the weekend of September 5 and 6. During these dates, works will take place from Saturday at 11:00 PM to Sunday at 11:00 PM, affecting various train services.
Notably, the TNR El Jadida trains will only run as far as Bouskoura, where passengers will need to transfer to Al Atlas trains for further travel. Additionally, the TNR Settat service will be temporarily suspended, with passengers redirected to Al Atlas trains. Furthermore, the rail connection to the airport will be replaced by bus shuttles operated by Supratours. These measures reflect ONCF's commitment to enhancing the quality of rail services while addressing necessary infrastructure improvements.
