Heartbreaking Incident at Algeciras Port
In a tragic turn of events, two Moroccan women—a mother and her daughter—lost their lives when their car unexpectedly plunged into the sea at Algeciras port on the morning of September 2. The incident unfolded as the family was preparing to board a ferry heading to Tangier. Witness accounts indicate that both women were seated in the back of the vehicle, while two men in the front managed to escape the sinking car.
Reports from the local Spanish media detail that the vehicle had already passed through a National Police checkpoint and was directed to a designated waiting area by the ferry boarding staff. However, in a perplexing twist, the car veered toward the edge of berth No. 1 at the Galera dock and fell into the water, leading to this calamity.
