Six Dead and Eight Injured in a Devastating Vehicle Flip in El Jadida
In a heartbreaking incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, at least six individuals have lost their lives, including three women, while eight others suffered various degrees of injuries when a pickup truck carrying agricultural workers overturned in El Jadida province, located approximately 100 kilometers south of Casablanca. The tragic accident took place in the village of Al Houanta, within the Ouled Rahmoun municipality, on a provincial road where the vehicle, transporting a total of 14 workers, flipped over after the driver reportedly lost control, according to local authorities.
Emergency services, including the Royal Gendarmerie and Civil Protection forces, responded promptly to the scene following reports of the incident, taking necessary measures to assist those involved. The injured individuals were swiftly transported to the provincial hospital of Mohamed V in El Jadida, as well as the local hospital in Azemur, where they are receiving medical attention. Moreover, the Gendarmerie has initiated an investigation, under the oversight of the relevant prosecutor's office, to ascertain the circumstances surrounding this tragic accident.
