The Heartbreaking Story of Saida El Yousif
Saida El Yousif, a 44-year-old woman hailing from Oujda in eastern Morocco, tragically lost her life in Arguedas, Spain. El Yousif was the mother of a young daughter from a previous relationship, who currently resides in Morocco. Having been married for less than a year, she had only spent the last two months in Spain before her untimely death.
El Yousif and her husband had been navigating between their residences in Arguedas and France, where one of her brothers lives. The couple had been commuting back and forth, awaiting the finalization of their living arrangements. Initially arriving in Arguedas, where a relative of Saida resides, they came with a visa and stayed for about two weeks before returning to France.
After spending another 15 to 20 days in France, they returned once again to Arguedas, where they had been living for just under two weeks before the tragic incident occurred. Since Monday afternoon, the Pastoral and Solidarity Community, led by Mohammed Amnay, has been assisting the family with administrative processes, including the repatriation of Saida's body to her homeland.
