Investigation Launched Following Baby's Death
A tragic incident unfolded on August 13 when a 10-month-old baby girl was found unresponsive after being left in a parked car at a medical center parking lot in Madisonville, Kentucky. The child's grandmother, who works at the facility, reportedly forgot to drop the baby off at daycare before heading to her job. Emergency services were summoned to the scene to provide assistance, but unfortunately, their efforts to revive the infant were unsuccessful, as reported by American news outlet 14 News.
Upon arrival, first responders attempted to resuscitate the baby, who had spent the entire day in the vehicle. The alarm was raised by the baby's father when he arrived to pick her up from daycare, only to be informed that she had never been dropped off in the morning. In a state of panic, he contacted his wife, who then called her mother. The grandmother rushed to the parking lot with several colleagues, but by the time they arrived, it was tragically too late.
The grandmother, a medical professional, had intended to collect her granddaughter from her parents’ house to take her to daycare before starting her work shift. Unfortunately, she experienced a lapse in memory and forgot to make the necessary stop at the daycare center.
