Investigation Underway Following Fatal ORV Crash in Indiana
Indiana Conservation Officers are currently conducting an investigation into a tragic off-road vehicle (ORV) accident that resulted in the death of a woman in Newton County early Saturday morning. The unfortunate incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. when emergency responders were alerted to a serious crash on an unnamed county road located within the Willow Slough Fish and Wildlife Area.
Upon their arrival at the scene, emergency personnel discovered two individuals involved in the accident. The operator of the vehicle, identified as 35-year-old Lindsay Haaland from Morocco, was tragically found pinned beneath the ORV. Despite the rapid response of emergency services, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the passenger was swiftly transported to a local trauma center, where they are being treated for serious injuries sustained during the accident.
The cause of this devastating accident is currently under investigation, and authorities have yet to release further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
