Devastating Collision on National Route 6
A serious traffic accident occurred on the morning of Saturday, May 23, 2026, along National Route 6, which connects the cities of Salé and Oujda. The incident took place near the Douar of Skhinat, within the jurisdiction of the Sidi Harazem commune, located on the outskirts of Fes. Reports indicate that the driver of a pickup truck lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a tragic rollover while transporting a group of agricultural workers heading towards Taza from Fes.
The consequences of this unfortunate event were dire, with one individual confirmed dead at the scene, while 17 others sustained various injuries. Emergency medical services promptly transported the injured to the Hassan II University Hospital Center to receive the necessary medical attention. In the aftermath of the accident, the Royal Gendarmerie initiated an investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, aiming to determine the full circumstances and causes surrounding this tragic incident.
