Morocco's Pivotal Moment for Development
During a significant communication meeting held in the community of Miskala, located in the Essaouira region, Anis Biro, a member of the political bureau of the National Rally of Independents (RNI), emphasized that Morocco is currently undergoing a pivotal stage that necessitates sustained efforts towards a new development model. This model aims to transition from a "Morocco of two speeds" to a "Morocco of a single speed," guided by the insightful vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Community Engagement and Government Achievements
In his address to a large audience comprising local residents, intellectuals, and professionals from the region, Biro highlighted the abundant human resources present in the Essaouira province, which serve as a fundamental asset for development. He expressed his pride in the direct communication with citizens in this beloved region. Biro reflected on the achievements of the current government led by Aziz Akhannouch, stating that, based on his extensive political experience and observation of various successive governments, he can offer a "credible testimony" that the current Prime Minister has set a distinguished example in leadership, decision-making, and responsibility.
Furthermore, Biro noted that the past five years have witnessed the realization of significant projects, chief among them the social protection initiative and direct social support programs benefiting thousands of families in the region, with monthly assistance ranging from 500 to 1250 dirhams. He also mentioned projects related to healthcare coverage, provision of potable water, and infrastructure development. He asserted that the implementation of these initiatives required "courage, boldness, competence, and the ability to adjudicate."
Regarding the upcoming democratic challenges, Biro viewed the electoral processes not merely as routine events or competitions among names but as a "moment of truth and a profound democratic responsibility" to shape the future and select leaders capable of continuing the developmental trajectory. He robustly responded to voices that downplay the significance of elections, stating, "Elections concern democracy, citizens, and genuine political action. Those who think otherwise do not understand politics." He added that the National Rally of Independents does not offer flashy slogans or unrealistic promises; instead, it focuses on real and tangible projects that address the realities of citizens in education, transportation, and rural pathways, aiming to achieve equity among various regions and areas of the kingdom.
Biro concluded his speech by reaffirming that the party does not seek to alter the course that has achieved growth rates exceeding 5% and tangible projects; rather, it aims to "develop this course, enhance it, and increase its speed" to have a direct impact on the lives of every citizen. He expressed great confidence in the intelligence of Moroccan citizens and their ability to discern between sincere efforts and empty slogans, urging a renewal of trust to continue building a "rising Morocco" through actions rather than words.
