Passing of Zitouni El Hail, Former Police Prefect and Director of Public Security

In a somber announcement made on Thursday, it was revealed that Zitouni El Hail, a distinguished former police prefect and director of public security, has passed away in Rabat. His demise marks the end of a remarkable career dedicated to the service of his country. El Hail's contributions to the national police force were widely recognized and celebrated, showcasing his unwavering commitment to public safety and security.

According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the late El Hail passed away in a military hospital in Rabat following a long and dedicated career. He was known for his exemplary service and commitment to the police force, having ascended through the ranks of the DGSN by holding various leadership positions. Notably, he served as the head of the police prefecture in Marrakech before taking on the role of director of public security within the central administration.

On this solemn occasion, the DGSN extended its heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, praying that God grants him divine mercy and provides strength to his loved ones during this challenging time. Furthermore, the Director General of National Security, Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi, has instructed officials from central departments and the Mohammed VI Foundation for Social Works of National Security Personnel to provide support to the family of the deceased and stand by them in their hour of need.
