Tunisia-Morocco Trade Reaches Nearly 1 Billion Dinars in 2025

In 2025, Tunisia's exports to Morocco soared to an impressive 973.1 million dinars, with olive oil and dates emerging as the primary products driving this bilateral trade, as reported by the Centre for Export Promotion (CEPEX). This remarkable achievement underscores the growing economic ties between the two nations and highlights the potential for further collaboration in various sectors.

On March 25, 2026, CEPEX organized a series of professional bilateral meetings that brought together a delegation of Moroccan businessmen and representatives from 60 Tunisian companies operating in the agro-food, medical supplies, and cosmetics sectors. This initiative was coordinated with the Tunisian Embassy in Rabat, the Casablanca Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services, and the commercial representation of CEPEX in Casablanca. The meetings aimed to foster discussions about the available business opportunities that can enhance bilateral trade.

The sessions were presided over by Mourad Ben Hassen, the Director General of CEPEX, alongside the Moroccan delegation led by Hassan Barkani, the president of the Casablanca-Settat Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services. The exchanges illuminated the significant business opportunities available for both countries, emphasizing the potential for increased trade relations.

In total, over 200 direct professional appointments were organized, allowing Tunisian businesses to showcase their products while exploring the business opportunities present in the Moroccan market. This event also facilitated the establishment of partnerships and the development of commercial integration between the two nations.

The program continued on March 26, 2026, with on-site visits to several Tunisian exporting companies. These visits aimed to assess their production capabilities and compliance with international standards across the agro-food, medical supplies, cosmetics, and services sectors. This initiative not only strengthens trade ties but also ensures that Tunisian products meet the rigorous standards expected in international markets.
