In a remarkable display of athletic prowess, Tunisia wrapped up its participation in the 2026 International Para-Athletics Grand Prix held in Rabat with an impressive tally of eight medals, including four golds. This achievement was confirmed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in a statement released on April 26, 2026. As a result, the Tunisian national team secured an impressive eighth place in the overall medal standings, reflecting the nation’s growing prominence in international para-athletics.
The competition took place from April 23 to 25 in Rabat, Morocco, attracting top para-athletes from around the globe as part of the Grand Prix circuit. Among the standout performers for Tunisia were Raoua Tlili, who excelled in the discus throw (F41 category), and Yosra Ben Jomaa, who claimed gold in the javelin throw (F34). Yassine Guenichi and Raja Jebali also showcased their skills, each winning gold medals in the shot put (F36 and F40 categories, respectively).
In addition to the gold medals, Tunisia's medal haul included three silver medals. Raoua Tlili continued her success by earning a silver in the shot put (F41), while Aymen Laoukom (shot put F41) and Jihen Aziz (shot put F44/46) also contributed to the country’s medal count with their silver performances. Furthermore, Youssef Ouheibi secured the only bronze medal for Tunisia in the 5000 meters (T11/12/13), culminating in a highly satisfactory overall performance that has been praised by Tunisian sports authorities.
