UAE Pavilion Attracts Over 6,300 Visitors at Marrakech Air Show
During the four days of the Marrakech Air Show 2026, the UAE National Pavilion welcomed an impressive total of 6,328 visitors, showcasing the nation's commitment to innovation and collaboration in defense, aviation, and space sectors. The event, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the Royal Moroccan Air Force Base, served as a significant platform for the UAE to solidify its reputation as a reliable partner in global defense and aerospace initiatives.
Throughout the exhibition, UAE participants engaged in a total of 82 business meetings with various international institutions, companies, sector leaders, and government representatives. Notably, two agreements were signed at the pavilion: a memorandum of understanding and a commercial contract between the EDGE Group and the National Defense Administration of Morocco. Additionally, Capital Events, a subsidiary of ADNEC Group, organized 106 meetings to promote upcoming events such as IDEX 2027, the International Defense Conference, NAVDEX, UMEX, and ISNR.
Significant Engagement and Future Prospects
On the final day of the exhibition alone, the pavilion attracted 3,100 visitors, marking the highest daily attendance during the event. This surge in interest reflects the growing global interest in the UAE's defense and security portfolio. The UAE companies also conducted eight meetings with representatives from specialized defense firms and international entities on the last day, with individual companies like EDGE and Generation 5 Holding actively participating in these engagements.
The successful participation at the Marrakech Air Show is not just a culmination of efforts but also a precursor to future events, as many exhibitors and industry leaders expressed interest in participating in the 2027 editions of IDEX and NAVDEX. These upcoming events are anticipated to be the largest in their history, reinforcing their positions among the premier defense and security exhibitions worldwide.
The UAE pavilion's tour continues with planned participation in the Special Operations Forces Exhibition (SOFEX) in Jordan, underlining the UAE's ongoing connections with the global defense, aviation, and aerospace community. The Marrakech Air Show, which first launched in 2008 and takes place biennially, has established itself as the preeminent event in Morocco's aviation and aerospace sector, uniting civil, military, and aerospace sectors from around the globe.
