The preparations for the **18th World Congress of the OCPM**, scheduled to take place in **Marrakech, Morocco from October 26 to 29, 2026**, are progressing smoothly. This significant event, themed **“The New Urban Project: Towards the Livability of Historical Centers,”** will bring together member cities of the OCPM to continue the discussions initiated at the Quebec Congress and further explored in Córdoba.

A Dynamic Program to Adopt the New Urban Project
At the heart of the Congress, the Symposium will guide members in taking a significant step forward in the collective process of the OCPM: **the adoption of the New Urban Project**, designed to assist cities in enhancing the livability of their historical centers.
The Congress will also provide numerous opportunities for dialogue among mayors, elected officials, strategic area professionals, and those involved in the management of historical centers. This will include panels, workshops, bilateral meetings, peer exchanges, and moments of cooperation.

Registration is set to open on **June 16, 2026**. Calls for applications to join the **Board of Directors**, as well as to host the **2028 World Congress**, will be launched on June 30, 2026.
